Juxtaposed between primitive and ethereal, the paintings of Kyle Keener reflect a voyage through the subconscious mind. His use of makeshift tools and techniques, along with the manic style of his craft, have landed him a unique perspective in the art world: visceral, raw, and psychedelic, cultivated in a way all it’s own.
Keener was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1989, and raised in Lexington Kentucky.
As a self taught artist, his early years in graffiti lends to his use of aerosol paint along with other mixed medias such as acrylic, inks, paint markers, oil sticks, enamel/latex paint, etc.
Keener currently lives and works in Lexington Kentucky.
